Every place I've ever visited in India is in a constant state of chaos.  Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple, is the one place I find this commotion absent.  The serenity is palpable even before you step foot there and you are quickly enveloped in its blanket of spirituality.  During my most recent visit there last month, I got to experience this holy place in the most spectacular way possible. We were on our way to catch an early morning flight from Amritsar to Delhi and without any intentional planning, arrived right as the sun was seeping in through the night sky.  From that moment on, this visual has instantly topped my charts of most beautiful things I have seen.  Every person, every wave in the pond, every bird flying, every piece of stone looked like it was being blessed straight from the hands of God.

Seeing sunrises and sunsets in different parts of the world is one of my favorite things to do but I had never penciled in the Golden Temple to this bucket-list.  After this day, I tell everyone to add this to their list.
